About Unique Custom Candles:

Unique Custom Candles is a Latina and women-owned private label candle manufacturer based in the South Bay of Los Angeles. We help entrepreneurs, brands, and businesses launch and scale their own candle lines — handling everything from product development to fulfillment.

We're a small, tight-knit team that takes a lot of pride in what we make. Every order that leaves our production floor represents someone's brand, and we treat it that way.

The Role: Candle Production + Fulfillment Assistant

We're looking for a full-time Candle Production + Fulfillment Assistant to work directly alongside our founder in our Gardena manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on, on-your-feet, in-person role. You will be involved in the day-to-day candlemaking, packaging, and shipping of candles for our private-label clients.

A typical day includes pouring and assembling candles in high-volume batches, labeling and packaging finished products, and prepping orders for shipment. During active production cycles, the pace is steady, physical, and detail-focused. You will always know that the work you're doing directly impacts a real client's brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Candle production support — wax pouring, cleaning, labeling, and assembly

  • Packaging and shipping orders with care and precision (must be able to lift 30+ lbs)

  • Supporting the founder directly with day-to-day manufacturing operations

  • Maintaining quality standards across all production and fulfillment stages

  • Adapting to varied tasks across an active, fast-moving production environment

  • Supporting high-volume pour days and time-sensitive fulfillment deadlines as needed

Qualifications + Skills:

  • Strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to tasks and projects, and showing up consistently

  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision in all tasks. You take genuine pride in quality work!

  • Ability to wear many hats, adapt to varied responsibilities, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.

  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage tasks independently

  • This is a hands-on, on-your-feet role — lifting up to 30 lbs is part of the day

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, food production, warehouse, or fulfillment is a plus

Compensation + Schedule:

  • Pay: $18–$22/hr DOE

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday (8 am to 4 pm)

  • Type: Full-Time, On-Site | Gardena, CA
